All For Love Wedding Cards - CrafTangles DT

Happy Weekend!

How's it been so far? I have a Trimcraft Demo in Luton today which I'm very much looking forward to as I have some varied and wonderful ranges to show.

I'm up on the CrafTangles blog today with a set of wedding themed cards I made using the CrafTangles All For Love Elements and Paper Pad.

The only additional element I've used with these cards is a stitched heart die set which I've used as a base for the elements on my first creation below.

For my next card I've used different sheets from the paper pad to form a background for the fussy cut elements.

For my final creation, I've made the elements into a hot air balloon by adding fine hand drawn lines.  I've stamped the sentiment onto one of the tag elements to finish and kept it simple.

I hope to catch up with you again next week but in the meantime enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Spring Has Sprung! - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

How are you?  It feels like such a long time since my last blog, yet it's only been slightly over a week!

The Daring Cardmakers has a new challenge set by Svenja who has asked for the use of stencils and fresh green as Spring is around the corner!  Lots more wonderful inspiration from the Team HERE.

I'm lucky as I only received a new batch of stencils earlier in the week from CrafTangles and there was one that caught my eye which I thought would be perfect for this challenge.

I also had an idea in mind to use ombre as I took inspiration for this challenge from my garden.  There are so many shades of green in it and I wanted to merge them together.

I made a background with the distress inks and then used the stencils with the same colours.  I stamped Happy Birthday in black as I wanted the sentiment to show but didn't want it to take over the background I'd made.

I thought I'd end this post with a bit of Spring from our garden:

I'm hoping to be back over the weekend with another blog post.

Bye for now!

CrafTangles Baby Boy Elements with Stencils

Happy Tuesday!

I'm up on the CrafTangles blog with tutorials on 3 different ways to use stencils combined with the Baby Boy Element Pack.

For the first card I used the heart stencil though a die cutting machine on plain card and the same stencil with distress oxides.

With the second card I used both Distress and Distress Oxide inks though a create a scene stencil which is a really useful stencil to form both clouds and grass.

For my final card, after creating a blended background, I added texture paste through a stencil.

With all the cards I added the fussy cut elements from the Baby Boy pack using foam pads.

I think this will be my only post for this week.  I'm not feeling 100% and together with work, half term and preparing for my little one's birthday I think I have my work cut out, don't you?!

Wishing you all a happy, healthy week!

Cosy Home - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I have a list as long as my arm to complete today - not sure what my chances are but I'm certainly thinking positive!

A new challenge has begun over on the Daring Cardmakers set by Miri to create a home inspired card - could be an animal, human or even alien home!

I've used the brand new Trimcraft Hey Baby range to make my New Home card.  I've die cut an aperture using the Christmas Gingerbread House die and fussy cut the heart element in the centre from the same pad.

I added lettering from one of the First Edition Alphabet sets and finished off with some gems.

Funnily enough this is now my go to template for new home cards.  I created this template when I joined in a challenge at the end of last year to use a Trimcraft Christmas pad for a non Christmas design.  This is what I came up with then:

Similar design but just added glitter washi tape and hearts - you know how I love a bit of sparkle!

You can find lots more inspiration HERE from the rest of the Design Team.

I'm at The Range in Enfield on Sunday doing demos from 11am with Trimcraft's latest collection.  If you happen to be around it would be lovely to meet you.

Have a great weekend,

February Elemental Challlenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy February!

Yay it's Friday and the sun is out - can't ask for anything more being the simple soul I am!

The first Friday of the month can only mean one thing - the elemental challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers and here is is my take on it:

I've gone for a clean and simple look using the block capitals, balloons and colours from the image that Dawn has chosen below.

Once I cut our the 'XOXO' I backed it with paper to make it stand out.  I added die cut hearts and simply drew the balloon strings on.  To finish I added some hand drawn stitching to one of the balloons.

This is the image from which I took inspiration and I hope you'll join in.  Loads more inspiration HERE.

Before I go, I just wanted to share a little inspiration from my day trip to Creativeworld which is the International Trade Fair for Hobby, Craft and Art supplies in Frankfurt.

It was an amazing experience and I was stunned by the sheer volume of creativity.  It's huge and you need more than the few hours I had to see it fully appreciate it, but my mission was accomplished!  I am very grateful I got the opportunity to go.

I hope you have a great weekend whatever you have planned.  I have my first demo of the season on Sunday for Trimcraft and I'm very much looking forward to showing off all the new products.

See you next week!
